Today was an interesting day for me because I was actually able to use my tactile senses (where I thrive) rather than sit around listening to someone talk for 2 hours endlessly, and in excrutiating detail, about a subject of little interest to someone who is not looking to brave pedagogy as a profession. In other words, I enjoyed myself more than usual. Any activity that can hold MY attention for more than 5 minutes is an activity that is worthwhile for anyone. That may sound narcissistic, and it may be, but the point is that the hands on activity was enjoyably engaging, and was necessary to relieve the mental stagnation that I've felt for these past few weeks. Overall, it was a wonderful way to end the training sessions.

I'm looking forward to working with the kids next week.

Today we had a another speaker. Not too much to say except for I think she had some really good things to say about intelligence. That is all.

I'm fiercely hungry right now, I can't skip breakfast again.

Today we made up convoluted stories using the sh, ch, and th letter combinations. I thought it was very corny, but hey, training is training.

Mondays. I loathe them. Perhaps if I were able to get more than 4 hours of sleep I would be better.

AT LAST!! WE HAD FOOD GIVEN TO US!!! The one thing that has been bothering me all week has been the lack of breakfast in any form. I rarely leave my apartment hungry, but it's happend twice this week and there has been no recompense on the side of the program; luckily on this day we were served food. I was wary of the spinach they served because of the e-coli scare...but I was too hungry to care much; although, now that I think about it...I wouldn't like to projectile vomit my organs across a room. What a horrible way to go... The brownies were a nice touch and rounded out the meal perfectly.

There were all kinds of problems today, but I won't go into details about that...suffice it to say that the class was divided over certain issues presented during the child abuse training.

I was late this morning because I didn't sleep well...again...I have a lot on my mind though so I'm looking forward to many days like this. I really hate being the center of attention unless I initiate that action.

The third day of the madness. I'm still groggy from getting barely 4 hours of sleep last night; I've been having sleeping problems lately. Anywho, the program seems like it will be fun and educational...I wonder if all the orientation we're going to have is absolutely necessary. Oh well, time will tell
