Today was an interesting day for me because I was actually able to use my tactile senses (where I thrive) rather than sit around listening to someone talk for 2 hours endlessly, and in excrutiating detail, about a subject of little interest to someone who is not looking to brave pedagogy as a profession. In other words, I enjoyed myself more than usual. Any activity that can hold MY attention for more than 5 minutes is an activity that is worthwhile for anyone. That may sound narcissistic, and it may be, but the point is that the hands on activity was enjoyably engaging, and was necessary to relieve the mental stagnation that I've felt for these past few weeks. Overall, it was a wonderful way to end the training sessions.
I'm looking forward to working with the kids next week.
